made for your attention span: 4 minute read
Is your life getting crazier or cleaner? Let me tell you a few ways to make your day-to-day a little easier.
For the past five or six years, people have been saying that time is moving faster. There’s no time to get things done, no time to take a break, pause, or slow down. Prices keep rising, trends keep flying past, and honestly—who can truly keep up with time? Sit down in a comfortable spot, grab a blanket and a warm drink, and relax while I spill some knowledge.
I’ll cut straight to the chase: romanticizing every part of your day will make your life so much easier. I’m not saying just sit and look out the window with big heart eyes, but if that’s what makes you happier, do it. It’s tiring to see people working every second, complaining, and living with no organization. Don’t keep your life jumbled if you’re truly trying to have some peace of mind.
The first thing I’d do if I were you is set a schedule. Don’t write out your every move—just put down the things that are your priorities, then find some time for yourself. Use your free time for things you actually want to do, whether that’s relaxing or starting a new hobby. SO IMPORTANT... don’t be lazy. I know that bed feels amazing, but set realistic goals for yourself and work on improving that laziness.
Be healthy. Improve your mental health and your physical health. Talk to someone, journal, eat healthier, go for a run. Whatever it is, be healthy and be clean. Wash your hair, do an everything shower, get a pedicure. If you feel clean, you feel amazing too.
Lastly, have a better mindset. I heard someone say, “You can’t have a positive life with a negative mindset.” Whoever came up with that is honestly Shakespeare. It’s so clear and simple. Stop complaining. Stop being sad over the finest things. Instead, look at life like it’s not so bad. I’m not implying you should slap rainbows and butterflies over the hard things in life. But what I am saying is take the good out of everything and make it the highlight of your day—you can still acknowledge the bad things.
At the end of the day, the day is going to end, and it is your responsibility to make that day worth it for yourself. You can’t rely on other people or just hope it’ll be a good day with no effort behind it. Get up, be the best thing that’s out right now you know I got you.
